remember the silly midnight practices, and the round the clock basketball tournaments (wasn't Gonzaga in one of those this year?)

gone for good. The NCAA adopted this amendment at the January meeting.

2009-76
PLAYING AND PRACTICE
SEASONS -- TIME LIMITS
FOR ATHLETICALLY
RELATED ACTIVITIES --
ADDITIONAL
RESTRICTIONS --
COUNTABLE
ATHLETICALLY RELATED
ACTIVITIES BETWEEN
MIDNIGHT AND 5 A.M.

To specify that countable athletically related
activities shall not occur between midnight
and 5 a.m., except for during participation in a
conference championship or an NCAA
championship, in any competition that begins
prior to midnight and concludes after
midnight, or a promotional practice activity
(e.g., first practice of the season).

Adopted.

Yeah silly and Spunkane goes hand in hand. I always thought it was ironic that it took them something like 20-25 years after the BCS schools had midnight madness then the "hillbilly's in in Spokane thought it was some big revolutionary celebration. You say "deliverance" I SAY "sponkanerance".

Hey PilotNut & SS11 what year did they put the first shopping mall in Spukane?

SSP11 was just kidding anyway, lol(tongue in cheek). I'm getting excited . After cutting up this 30 foot tree that fell on my property in tornado like conditions when I was in PDX. I'm ready today, there's something like 12 hours of Basketball on ESPN and ESPN2 today. It must be one of the biggest Sat lead ins to the Pilot game.

Darn, I'll probably have to do something else besides Couch Potato
