I think it was crazy to see that video (I am assuming it is the one I have seen all over) all over the web. It seemed pretty obvious to me she was blind or something was "wrong" with her. Apparently people are pretty cruel after high school too. (and yes, I am mostly pointing a finger at you PILOTNUT!!!!!) Now go drink some W10 in penance.

And you know what they say about assuming... thankfully you have always been a beacon of correctness to which we all can aspire... Razz

Just to be on the safe side, I will do the penance anyway... drunken

If you buy a regular compass, the arrow points north.

If you buy a moral compass, it points to where ever I am standing at that moment.

Who uses compasses? Get GPS. It's the 90's.

Let's all just move past this by telling a few Gilbert Arenas jokes.

Not soon enough... I found it ironic that they decided to add extra metal detectors at arena fan entrances the other day, it made me wonder if the players get the same treatment...

I guess Chris Gatling won't be attending any NBA games in the near future.

During the last couple of years, before I’d even heard of PN, there was some good give-and-take from the die-hards about the various bowl games; what happened this year?

I admit I didn’t watch very many games this year, and certainly none in their entirety thanks to the DVR, but was it just a matter of bad match-ups or have the games become too numerous for us to care?

I admit to having enjoyed the Fiesta and Rose Bowls, and the FCS Championship game too (South Dakota St. upset previously unbeaten Sam Houston St.), but that was about it.

I have a VERY CLOSE relative who is an Alabama graduate, so I had to watch the BCS Bowl, but was LSU really the #1 team in the nation? That’s the first time I’ve seen them play without Billy Cannon I'm old! , but they seemed to lack any star power or spirit.

Your thoughts? I'm waiting. . .

Hahaha to be perfectly honest I didn't even realize there was a game yesterday I've had so little time to pay attention to college football...

My guess is you weren’t alone; TV ratings were down for this year’s game. Yesterday’s game on ESPN earned a 14.0 rating, down 8 percent from last year; it’s the second-lowest rating of the 14 BCS title games, beating only a 13.9 for Miami-Nebraska in 2002.

Was there another Republican Debate going on at the same time? elephant

I’m thinking a field goal-filled shutout couldn’t compete with a thrilling finish for television viewers. Do you remember last year? Auburn drove for a winning field goal on the final play to beat Oregon 22-19 tongue

I watched quite few of the bowls this year, and even attended one of them. Very Happy

I found myself flipping the channels last night though. The game just wasn't that interesting.

I'd post more college football stuff, but I get tired of DTR's negative comments about the Ducks. Maybe someday when the Huskies have a decent team there will be some more back and forth on PN. Duck!

Viewership was down for several reasons. First time on a cable network, i.e. fewer available homes. Monday night a full week after the holidays, people just forgot there was a game, or had to work, or were exhausted from watching Tebow on Sunday. An all SEC rematch, no cross regional interest, 'been there, done that' attitude. I watch a lot of college football, and frankly I find SEC games the least interesting to watch all season, no matter how much "Uncle Verne" Lundquist and Gary Danielson talk them up as the latest Armageddon.

I was more interested in how many times Brent was going to call that guy Honey Badger. "Honey Badger better care about that one." You can't make this stuff up.
