Warner Invited to MLS Pre-Draft Combine
A pretty good sized group, but definitely company Collen deserves to be in, here's hoping its just the first step toward a successful pro career!

Nice. It would be great to see him playing in the pros.

Collen has been named a West region first team All American, as well.

Maybe he can join Keller and Jaqua up here in Seattle.

Maybe GW has his eye on Collen since he did play for the U-23 Timbers. I like that idea much better.

Here's an interesting link to the potential Generation Adidas players of this years' draft including Oregon's own Dustin Corea:

A guy on the Timbers board was following the combine coverage via Soccer By Ives. Apparently Collen put in a good enough performance to be a likely first rounder.

Great to hear! Although I don't care what round he goes, as long as it's to a good situation where he can catch on and take his game to the next level.

Also, it's rumored Philadelphia has worked out a deal with OSU's Danny Mwanga to take him with the first pick.

I started out playing HS soccer in Philly in the olden days. I used to go with my father to watch the Philadelphia Ukrannians play. Philly has a deep soccer tradition (there even was an all-age country club league!).

Re: Warner Invited to MLS Pre-Draft Combine
Just checked the SBI site, looks like they predict Warner going in the 2nd round to the Quakes:
Buzz Carrick also has him listed on the Top 20 prospect list as well:
19. San Jose Earthquakes- COLLEN WARNER, M, Portland
One of the draft's true sleepers, Warner comes from a small school
but has impressive skill and can play on the right wing or centrally
Buzz Carrick also has him listed on the Top 20 prospect list as well:
19. Collen Warner, M, Portland: His combine performance moves
one of the best-kept West Coast secrets into the top 20. He's arguably
the best wide midfielder in the pool and has good pace and a solid
crosser, a combination that is rare these days.
