Michelle and Danielle - MAC Hermann Trophy Semi-Finalists

Michelle and Danielle were named MAC Hermann Trophy finalist today. This is a great testimony to the Portland Pilots players and coaches. Getting 2 as semi-finalists is some accomplishment!

Kudos to these two great strikers for being individually recognized as MAC Hermann trophy semifinalists! Had Michelle not been sidelined with injury, it's likely that the team also would be a semifinalist...in the NCAA tourney.

A well deserved accolade for both Michelle & Danielle, and for the UP soccer organization's leadership!

I agree. Too bad we did not see them up against teh best teams in the country this weekend.

I agree, Harry - Even on TV it was a real bad moment and a sad end to a great career.

It really was. When a player goes down hard like that you wait to see how quickly they move, or if they do. And then watch for expression. MichE did not move for a long time - which was a real bad sign. And the first thing I saw her do was put her hands up to head and hold it. You just had that sinking feeling that she knew it was bad. It wasn't just they sign of being in pain, it was the signal that she knew it was worse than that.
