Yes, Poopdeck - I think in this case, the farther from afar, the better.

BBQ in Portland???
I would have expected you NW guys to binge on Starbucks frappuccinos and vegan whole grain fajita wraps... (OK maybe some designer microbrewery beer too)...
The most popular food in our stadium is giant fried turkey legs... which is both extraordinarily barbaric (so nasty to watch someone eat) and particularly ironic (considering we're eating our own mascot).

We have the frapuchinos and vegan wraps, then after the game some of us head out for the microbrews and maybe some Putine (cheese curds and Gravy) poured over some fries cooked in lard.
MMMM....
MMMM....

Serious question: Is there anything vegetarian at Merlo other than pretzels and kettle corn? A few years ago, they used to have Gardenburgers at the grill where the kettle corn stand now sits. Vegan wraps would be great if they really sell them!

Did Geezer just nominate himself for Gardenburger smuggling duty?

Geezer, I thought you had a monopoly on all the Pliny in the state...
Although maybe you DO have a monopoly, and this is your way of increasing sales and drinking the beer that you sell at the same time.

You can always visit the Pilot House on the other side of the parking lot for vegetarian options. They have Garden Burgers, salads, and such. Occasionally the taco bar is also open and on those rare occasions you can get a really good vegetarian burrito with apple salsa. I do have to say the quality and quantity of food on offer at the Pilot House has decreased dramatically this past year, but it's still cheaper and better than the stuff being sold at the game. If you come early enough you can also eat in the cafeteria, where the quality of the food and the price can't be beat, but be prepared to have students give you funny looks.
The downside of the Pilot House and the cafeteria is still the lack of beer. Where are Kurt and Rob Widmer when you need them?

The enlightened ones have moved on from Starbucks to Stumptown coffee (yay for good coffee!), but I plead guilty to whole grain fajita wraps and good microbrews. A deep-fried turkey leg sounds pretty tasty, too! Maybe someone with connections can convince the food vendors to offer up some fried turkey goodness next fall.

Thanks for all the feeding suggestions! It will make double-headers a lot more pleasant next year.
