Go time: Pilots-Dons today at 3

Post by PilotDrummer on Sun Nov 15, 2009 8:29 am

Hopefully we can all be toasting the women's victory over the Huskies and watch the men beat the visitors from San Francisco. Looking at the box score from our trip to the Bay, seemed like a pretty even match with lots of defense (that, or terrible shots for less than 5 shots on goal per team).

I'd think that any playoff hopes for the Pilots depend upon a win today.

No report yet? Pilots 5, San Francisco 0. That's right, no fooling!

Great team defense, great team offense. It was really fun to watch.

Now they wait for the Men's Soccer Committee.

Awesome, awesome game. Marc Tonkel made his first collegiate goal a good one, chipping the keeper. Colin Anderson opened his account scoring the Pilots' 5th.

I ran into one of the proverbial "sources close to the team" Friday who said the Pilots thought a good result today would give them a great chance at the tournament, especially if the favored teams in other conferences keep getting the automatic bids.

However things turn out I want to thank Collen, Logan, Greg, and Drew for providing some entertaining soccer for us this year.

The selection show is tomorrow at 2:30 on ESPN News.

I had to leave with 5 minutes left to get some kids to another event and missed the last two Mad

Great day to be a pilot

A nice recap of what it's going to take to get UP into the tournament Here?

We need some front runners to win their conferences.

Great game to watch...if that's truly how the men have played all year I've been a terrible, terrible season ticket holder. Other commitments have destroyed my schedule and damnit, that was just great soccer.
