What a roller-coaster season for the Lady Hurricanes:
Lose to NAVY . . . squeak past Washington . . . defeat UNC . . .

VA-FSU score still holds at 59:55. Virginia has 8 shots, 5 on goal; FSU has 6 shots, none on goal. Corners are 7-4 Virginia.
Also of note, Nebraska beat Iowa State 2-1 in overtime. Morgan Marlborough had an assist but not a goal.

Re: Games of Interest
The FSU result should surely put us ahead of them in RPI if we take care of business. Maybe we needed UCLA or FSU to lose one more to assure top 4.
UCLA and USC are on Fox Soccer Channel tonight for those of you who subscribe.

Maybe, it would be neat if FSU were able to meet up with Portland this postseason, preferably in the Cup.

Re: Games of Interest
Wake Forest 3, Maryland 1 final
Wake is getting up there. Plays Boston College next week.
According to the instant RPIs on the NC site, UCLA is precisely tied with us in unadjusted RPI, at .669. And their two remaining opponents, UW and WSU, have slightly better records than Santa Clara and San Diego (and also presumably better Element 3 scores) so presumably we won't do better than 4th in RPI if we, UCLA, and NC all win out. It would be great if one of the Washington teams could manage at least a tie. Or Maryland against NC. They're all home games for the teams we're rooting for.

If both FSU and the Pilots win out, then according to the nc-soccer "projecting forward" feature, the Pilots will finish with a higher unadjusted RPI than FSU. I just realized, however, that the "projecting forward" feature does not include conference tournament games if they aren't on the schedule yet, and they aren't for the ACC since their tournament participants won't be finalized until Sunday.
