Geez, great list of games.

Question: Under "RPI Concerns" you indicate SC State v Longwood. I think you probably were meaning South Carolina v Georgia (since South Carolina is undefeated so far)?

This time I will not "pile on" about Geezer's mistake. It does not make grammatical sense.

The Georgia website lists: Georgia 2, South Carolina 1.

However, when you go into the live stats, they only show one goal by UGA, by which the score jumps from from 0-1 to 2-1. Have they introduced a two-point shot in college soccer? Surprised

SMC 1, San Diego 1.
LMU 2, Gonzaga 1.

Notre Dame 6, UConn 1.
Penn State 1, Minnesota 0, on a set piece at 89:54.

At 77:08, Santa Clara 1, USF 0. If this holds, the Pilots will be the only undefeated team in conference.

here's how my list is doing. FSUfan is right that GA won - also SMC won.

not so local:
Iowa St. 0. Texas A&M 1
Montana 2 Sacramento St. 2
California 0 UCLA 1
Colorado Col. 1 East Carolina 0

Conference:
San Francisco 0 Santa Clara 1
Loyola Marymount 2 Gonzaga 1
St. Mary's (Cal.) 2 San Diego 1

RPI concerns:
Rice 1 UCF 2 --This win dropped UCF .010 (a lot) in the URPI
South Carolina 1 Georgia 2 -- these teams swapped RPI's with this contest (6 places at the time)

other:
Tennessee 2 Florida 2
Texas 2 Nebraska 1
Notre Dame 6 Connecticut 1

and other teams in our 400 mi radius.
Eastern Wash. 1 Portland St. 1

Ooops, check that. As has been noted, the score did hold, but LMU is still undefeated in conference with a tie. Wait until Sunday.

Thanks for the update on Stan/USC. Gametracker dropped the ball again.

I see Wash schools beat Arizona schools tonight. UW 2-0 over AZ, WSU 2-1 or ASU.

The WSU win is great for WSU, as Arizona State is highly ranked, and also is great for the Pilots. The UW win is good, too, but Arizona is the very weak end of the Pac 10.

Looks like Oregon State is going to beat Oregon. OSU is up 2-0 with less than four minutes to go. OSU's second goal came four seconds after the first!

4 seconds!! They must have scored from mid field on the kickoff.

not quite 4 seconds, but almost as quick.

from the OSU site:

The Beavers would then put the game away just 36 seconds later as Ashley Seal connected on a shot from 10 yards out to put a stamp on the win. On a pass from Ingalls, Seal rifled a shot into the lower left-hand corner of the net to give Oregon State a two-goal edge. Peck added her second assist of the evening on the goal as Seal tallied her fifth goal of the year.

Stanford over UCLA

Post by UPSoccerFanatic on Sun Oct 18, 2009 2:48 pm

Stanford 2, UCLA 0. First goal an own goal by UCLA. UCLA put one of the post and one off the crossbar.

I guess this is a good outcome for the Pilots.
