Oregon State Match

Post by Indigo Kid on Mon Sep 21, 2009 9:47 am

I did not realize Oregon State was doing as well at they are. They defeated 21st ranked Denver this weekend and are now sitting at 7-1-0 on the season. Here is the article from the Denver match.

It looks like the most difficult part of their schedule however starts Friday...

They have been playing very well after their opening loss to PSU.

I haven't seen them, but with Linus Rhode and Michelle Voiland coaching them, I expect a good team. I'm sure they think that knocking off UP would be a big feather in their cap.

Saturday night should be a great turnout.

"Not to___________ or anything". I love that phrase and all its variations.

That's sort of like "I wouldn't mention what a duffus you are" , or "I could point out how cruel it is to make fun of old people and you'll be there soon enough -- but I won't"

But I wouldn't do either of those things, even if they were true.. and I didn't say they were. Very Happy

As the Geez knows, when you get to be our age, some basics are first in the priority list.

Back to the topic...

OSU may be a tough competitor on Friday eve. They appear to have dominated #21 Denver, taking over 20 shots to Denver's 6.

Are you ready for the OSU RPI report? They are ranked #16 or 17 in this week's rankings, depending on whether you're looking at the adjusted (16) or unadjusted (17) RPI. Ahead of Oregon, Washington, and Washington State!

Fine. Bring it on. I'm glad we get to watch a game against a ranked opponenent. Good opportunity to see what the current state of affairs is after this weekend's games.

Very happy that the team bounced back with a strong win, but not sure that whomping SMU tells us much.
