No, we aren't on it, but it's important to us nevertheless.

Creighton (6), St Louis (21), Cal Poly (23), are all in the top 25. Actually, I was a little stunned to see that Virginia didn't make the cut.

No WCC teams are on the list. Cal (8 ) and UCLA (19) are on it from the PAC10.

In my opinion, this list won't hold up by the end of the year. They seem to be piggybacking on last year's rankings which is common in sports. Maryland and Wake Forest lost a lot in the MLS draft, and experience means a lot come tourney time. Also, I just don't see Akron being the same without Zakuani. No way. There will be plenty of surprises in men's soccer.

The only real surprise would be if the favorites actually won... The turnover in men's soccer (due to players leaving early for the pros and such) is kinda nutty, it's way tougher to prognosticate than the women's game.

haha, mens soccer's polls never hold up, and it doesn't help that there are so many polls either. however, akron's been perennial top-10 for like 6 years james and have 3-4 players in the u-20 natl outfit, you sure about that? (mike gavins little bro is one of them, for the record)

in related news, the acc will be decent....as usual ;~)

Good point. They need some of those guys to step up and convert though. Zakuani was no joke.
