This kid turned down four D1 scholarships to play for Lower Columbia College?

Wow! His friend Key must be a great guy.

“I wanted to play with Jeray,” Harris said during a recent open-gym workout. “I’ve seen what (LCC coach Jim) Roffler has done with this program, and it’s considered one of the best in the NWAACC. I decided if I was going to play in the NWAACC, I’d be playing at LCC.”

Geez, if you had read the next paragraph you would totally understand. What NoPo kid didn't grow up with dreams of dominating the NWAACC? It looks like LCC is his best option for that.

Do "opportunities" = scholarship offers? Perhaps they were walk-on offers? I don't see Mr. Harris anywhere on Scout.com.

Yeah, an "opportunity" might just be a form letter he got in the mail from the Admissions office a year ago... After dealing with local/small paper writers recently, they are known to take many liberties in their reporting!

wHEN I first read this I thought it was referring to Joe Harris of Chelan who Rev is recruiting nd it hurt that Joe would go to a JC.
We still have a chance at Joe, tho it will be tough.I like others feel that Dontae was not offered by UP, tho he may develope to where we might later.
