Carmelita Jeter

Post by PurpleGeezer on Sun Jul 05, 2009 10:48 am

Pooh's little sister Carmelita is National Champ!

She won the 100 meters at the Nationals in Eugene yesterday in time of 10.776.
Her semi time was 10.772, which was the fastest time run in 11 years (both wind aided)

After the race, she said she got a cramp at 70 Meters, or she would have run faster!

Pooh's crowing on his Tweet. As well he can Very Happy

She's in the 200 today.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that slightly faster than mattywizz's high school PR?

And by yesterday I'm assuming you mean a week ago?

Looks like she took second in the 100m in Lausanne. World Champs coming up soon and she looks to be in shape.

Gotta love the 9 lane tracks and the extra-unqualified runner it allows in the finals!

The DNS made room for another runner.

Is the 9th lane like the 19th hole in golf?? Like the Pliny drinking lane??

3rd place today in the 100 metres at the World Championships. A pretty good performance. I was hoping for a shout out to Pooh during her interview with Bob Neumeier. Or at least a "We love free throws"
