Slander!
Slander!
I ran across a post on BS that compared Megan Rapinoe to Carol Brady from the Brady Bunch.
See for yourself:

I'm sorry - I never saw Carol Brady Throw an elbow or slide tackle.

Re: Slander!
Whenever someone texts that to me, I always ask them literally or figuratively... And I refuse to type it, i prefer the tried and true "hahahahahahahhahahaha" the longer the "ha"s the more I laugh, what's wrong with that? Damn kids.
But as for the comparison... they both have shorter hair?? I'm surprised they didn't be fully ridiculous and try to say she looked like Alice the maid...

Geezer - just because you never saw Mrs. Brady throw an elbow or do a slide tackle doesn't mean she never did. She could have been doing them all the time off-stage for all you know. She could have just been running around doing slide tackles and elbowing the stagehands all the time. She is a pretty fierce-looking lady.

Am I the only one who thinks the Geez decking Florence Henderson would be absolutely awesome?? Maybe I'm just easily entertained...

Re: Slander!
Most of the Hollywood types are little people because they appear much larger on the screen. I once met up with Charles Bronson at an auto parts store in Malibu and when I opened the door he passed under my arm as he went out. I am only 6'2"
Same thing with Chuck Norris, little guy with a mean disposition. But it might have been because he was losing at blackjack. There were some Big guys in Hollywood, John Wayne comes to mind.
Back to the topic I am quite sure Megan could clean Florence Henderson's clock any day of the week.

Re: Slander!
The post on BS is exactly that -- BS. (and I don't even know what the first BS stands for). Any resemblance between Megan and a fictitious sitcom mom is a hallucination. How about this, if we must pursue the TV actress comparison: The steely calm of Diana Rigg on "The Avengers," the physical prowess of Lucy Lawless on "Xena Warrior Princess" and the charisma of Jennifer Aniston of "Friends." Plus Megan could make it as a contestant on "American Idol" if she felt like it.

That's kind of you to defend Mrs. Brady, but, all we have to go with here is how she was portrayed on the show. Let's face it: she was an actress who had a maid who did not clean her own home on the show. I would hazard to guess that most of us here do not consider her to be "fierce-looking."
Rapinoe is the #2 player in the WPS draft who happens to have short hair (like Mrs. Brady) but, who can probably kick the ball 60-90 mph... All that we know about Mrs. Brady biographically is that she made out with another cast member during time off.
Odds of PurpleGeezer being able to deck Mrs. Brady--very high and worth the price of admission
Odds of Rapinoe being able to slide tackle better than her: 100%.

Well, Da Tru, I for one would pay good money to see that. I too am easily entertained, though. I've never met either one, but my money would be on the Geezer. Maybe during a halftime this fall, Geez vs Mrs Brady. Think of the extra fans that would bring in.

Reality check-
How many people do you think would pay to see an old guy run over a 75 year old woman with his walker?
One thing for sure - it would bring in a clientele we don't normally get at soccer games.

Re: Slander!
We are just a couple of Pliny's and a sleeper move from a tapout by Geezer. I hear Mrs. Brady utilizes the drunken master and monkey techniques which might give her the edge.

Would her sleeper move consist of a lullaby? I hear they put Geezer down right away.

Or, two other possibilities
1- That could be Mrs. Brady, many years after her TV days, getting psyched up and on her way to slide tackle the Geezer. Watch out, Geezer!!
2- It could be Mrs. Brady AFTER her meeting with Geezer, in a grumpy mood after getting run over by his walker. Way to go, Geezer!! You da man!!
3rd possibility - I have become fixated on Mrs Brady. Gotta move on here.
