I know it may sound awful, but you should try it. It is perfectly acceptable, in my book, to have your breakfast beers be red beers...
What's wrong with a beer version of a bloody mary??
Absolutely nothing.

I was surprised by how nice this one was, after being unable to find snow plow (did they discontinue it?) Right now they've got a solid pale out, Drifter I think.

Agreed, i think it was originally the W '08 special beer (or something like that), but they brought it back as Brrrr, considering it was like 6.5-7.0% it was pretty smooth and had a nice finish. Widmer doesn't even have a red out as a mass production beer, I wouldn't mind seeing Brrrr added to the regular rotation.
And yes, Drifter is the name of their newest pale, it really is quite delicious, although if I'm going pale ale I'd rather it be India style and hoppy as all hell... but that's just me
I think Snow Plow was just a limited time seasonal, they might bring it back at some stage (maybe under a different name like they did with Brrrr)

1. Augustiner Maerzenbier - nothing else can touch it
In no other order: the Polish beer Zwyiec (spelling?), He'brew's Messiah Bold, Widmer's Drifter (if you haven't tried it, you're really missing out), also their Drop Top, Pliny the Elder, Zipfer, Rainier, Guiness, and pretty much anything at the Horse Brass Pub

This is a difficult one for me. Spending the last three years in Nashville "land of the lost good beer (or something like that)" where it was darn near impossible to find decent beer, my adult beverage consumption decreased dramatically. Because of this I think my pallete has become unrefined. But here is my list, although I haven't had some of these beers in a long time (no particular order)
Bridgeport IPA
Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA
Widmer ALT
Terrapin Rye Pale Ail
Michelob AmberBock (considering how few stores/bars/restaurants carried anything "better" than Michelob this was my fall back, surprisingly, I didn't feel all that much like I was settling)

Coldsmoke, I'm a little disappointed that the Josef Hoffbrauer (sp?) did not make your list. There is nothing like a good corn beer!

Oh wow... I remember the Josef Hoffbrauer.
Not gonna lie... I'm not really a beer drinker, and even when I do have a beer it is always the light beers. (I mean low hop content, not Lite beers.)
So really I can't contribute much here. I'm a miserable excuse of a Portlander...

It's okay to like lighter beers. I'm not that big on IPAs and the really strong stuff myself. Although Black Butte Porter is pretty nice...
I also like the McMenamins Hammerhead, Drop Top, Dead Guy, some of the Red Hooks...

Just had a couple of the Magic Hat HI.P.A.s from my sampler pack. Let's add those to my list.

Since I'm about 25% Czech, I guess I'll be adding Gambrinus Pilsner to my list. Thanks TruRochin...

I'll say... it's almost like you are from some place like Boulder or Fort Collins where they jog at 5K ft every day...

My guilty...or not so guilty pleasure when I'm feeling frugal is Henry Weinhard's Blue Boar Pale Ale.

My dad stopped drinking Henry's after they got bought and it stopped being brewed in Portland. I can't really bring myself to drink it either, knowing it used to be a Portland beer. The brewery used to on Burnside, right across the street from Powell's. That was a long time ago...
