Is applying for admittance is NCAA D2. I think it's great that Canadian schools will get to play for championships in the NCAA and will add a whole new flavor to collegiate competition. They currently play in the NAIA.

Story here

The only problem I see is the name of their teams. "The Clan" has a whole different connotation in this country than it might in Canada. If the NCAA has a problem with the Fighting Sioux, they are really going to have a problem with this one....

This is great news for the GNAC. With Western Washington dropping football, that conference has been in a huge bind when it comes to scheduling. This literally gives Division II football in the Northwest new life.

Wasn't UBC (University of British Columbia) looking at joining Division I?
