If this was women's soccer, I would never say this...but, for the sake of winning the bleeping trophy, GO UNC! (By the way, the game is on at 5:45 pm tomorrow night, I believe...)

The first game is at 6ish my time...which would be 3 for the rest of y'all. I'm excited, I actually get to watch these ones unlike last weekend.

It looks like it will be Michigan State vs. UNC. It could be interesting if both Magic and Jordan are courtside...

So, if it's UNC, James is our winner. And if it's MSU, it is Canaan and Ray. Well played, gentlemen.

And thanks to Rochin54, the perfect host. Sets up the contest, and then makes sure he comes in last so that no one else feels a lack of self esteem.

Do you know what's better than cheering for MSU in a bar filled with UCONN fans?

If you do let me know, then I'll do that next week!!

Funny thing is, I don't really like Sparty.

I think this is going to be a great game if MSU plays near as well as they did against UConn. I'd like to win this pool, but, at the same time I don't want to watch a boring blow out victory for UNC either. MSU had some great moments like the dunk by Summers in the victory over UConn. I hope there are some moments like that on both sides. If MSU pulls the upset, they will have definitely earned it by taking out 3 #1 seeds in Louisville, UConn, and UNC. That would be something...

Did anyone else read this article?

Seriously your conference did well? 9-6 isn't bad? What about 4-6? That is what everyone but Michigan St. did.

If Pittsburgh beats Louisville tonight I think I win our bracket challenge!!

Yeah, that's pretty lame. Some people feel that any team that can upset another in the first round deserves to be in the tourney. So, an upset win by Wisconsin or Arizona means that they deserve to be in the tourney? I don't think so. Strength of schedule means a little bit too much still in the selection process; otherwise teams like SMC would have been in the tourney. Hopefully, they learned their lesson. As much as I dislike Gonzaga, they do a great job of non-conference scheduling. UP's non-conference schedule will be better next year with the ealy season tourney... If we take care of business, we'll be in better shape...

If I read the standings correctly, if UNC wins tonight, I would finish fifth in the bracket challenge. Considering I was 21st after the first round, I'll take it.

I would just like to thank Rochin54 for turning in what might be the worst bracket in history. It's not enough that he sets up the group, but he goes to extra step to intentionally get last place to build the rest of our self-esteems.

As your prize, I will bring you some Northeastern microbrew and pick up a couple cream-filled maple bars on my drive back home.

I'm a prophet! farao Someone asked me today what I thought the game tonight would be, and I said, "a UNC blowout." So I came home from work, finished mowing the lawn and another little project, came in 5 minutes ago, and, yep, just what I said. Too bad they put in a shot clock, or we could watch the Carolina Four Corner offense for the last 20 minutes. affraid
