SMC's Mills cleared to play in the WCC Tourney

Credit the GU Board for finding this: Andy Katz interviewed Mills who confirmed that his surgeons have cleared him to play, saying the bones in his hand have healed quicker than anticipated... this is great news for Patty & SMC. It would also make an interesting game against us, if we are able to advance to the Semifinals... Patty's first game back; how does SMC respond? How does Patty play? Is he at his pre-injury level? There will be a lot of pressure on him to perform well for the NCAA selection committee... and just because he is cleared, doesn't mean he will actually play, I suppose...

Mills wants another shot at Gonzaga.

"I've quickly come to learn at Saint Mary's that all you want to do is play Gonzaga," said the sophomore guard, who added the broken right hand won't affect a decision to declare for the NBA draft, either way. He still will evaluate the decision in April. "I'd like to play them in the WCC tournament final. I can't describe how excited I am to get back on the floor and give back to Gonzaga what they've done to us this year and a number of years."

That's okay Patty... just look right past the semifinal game... nothing to see here....
