Stanford gets hit by the depression

They announced the layoff of 21 athletic positions yesterday. No word on whether there will be any in the soccer staff.
The decision to build a $100 million football stadium that only 34,000 fans show up for is starting to not look so good.
I wonder if the AD was one of those positions?

It's sort of funny that the only financial issue mentioned is the economic downturn, and not that servicing the debt on the stadium due to poor attendance might be a factor.
