Does Cloee speak Spanish?

Post by Geezaldinho on Wed Feb 18, 2009 5:45 pm

I ask because she is going to the u20 10 Nations's Tournament in La Manga Spain.

I have no doubts that she's going to be a force for Portland in the next 4 years. Remember - she's still a high school kid.

That's Fantastic news Geez! Cloee (aka The Hammer) is on the U-20 roster! Woohoo! But, I noticed that Kealia Ohai (aka The Sickle) is also on the squad....talk about "still" being a High School kid...she's a potential 2010 recruit! Nice to see the pair together with the U-20s! It would be a BLAST...to see them together as Pilots! Can't have one without the other, eh? Wink That would just be wrong!

GO PILOTS!!!

Hi there UP women's Soccer fans. I'm still alive. Just doing other stuff last couple months. The soccer teams are practicing outside at this time, and I'm gonna catch a practice pretty soon.

Will be looking for improvement from all the players. Scrimmage games coming up in March/April. Hope to catch a few of those.

I'll be back..... GOOOAAAALLL!!!!

There are so many English in La Manga you don't really need to speak Spanish. They even have a pub down the street from the main hotel.

La Manga is an exclusive resort which hosts many athletic tournaments and events every year. Its kind of like going to Russia and eating at the McDonalds. You can expect at least one or two people to speak english. Just remember when you go to France the quarter pounder with cheese is called a Royale with cheese.

Also called that in Italy. Yes, I went to one McDonald's there. But it was by the Spanish Steps and had a fountain and mosiacs on the walls.

40 years ago, I went to a Macdonald's in Barcelona where you could get a cheeseburger and a Cognac for 4 Pesetas, which was about $1.30.

OK, it wasn't one of the franchise shops, but they had golden arches.

I like the Cognac part. They need to do that again. It beats a latte. Party!!!

I can't wait to see Cloee play. All we do is reload with recruits. I love it.

A coke with ice alone was $3 Pesetas, so your choice was sort of automatic.
