Pilot's beat St. Mary's
I am so jacked up that I have to come off the ceiling to my spot on the couch to coment. I don't know the exact score but to me it doesn't matter (2 pt win or 18 is a win), yeah Ha.... That Sikma dunk at the end was a great way to finish!!!

Great game Pilots. I know St. Mary's is still adjusting to life without Patty but they are still a very very good team. I'm really impressed.
Congrats

What a game. That may have been the most important (and best) game I've watched in my 7 years on or around the bluff.
How about that. Second place! Let me say that again. SECOND PLACE!!!!!

Wow. WOW. WOW! I am speechless!
The Pilots just played amazing tonight--and solid. I cant wait to re-watch from the DVR!
This is the best game I have ever witnessed on the Bluff... since 1991....

On the post-game radio interview, Coach Wolf said the team was waiting in the hall for Derek to finish his TV interview, then went off to celebrate. That to me sums up what a real team these guys have become.
Could you make a coach of the year argument for anyone besides Rev?
What great efforts by everyone tonight. I just don't know what else to say.

Haha. When I told the wife and daughter (who rarely attend) that I was going to watch the DVR when we got home, they just looked at me!

Very good crowd tonight, did anyone hear the attendance? Good support from the students. The band was great, as usual.
And, I thought the refs did a nice job tonight, pretty much letting the players play. They allowed the guys to mix it up a little on rebounds, and didn't make a lot of ticky-tack calls.

The game story on the Pilot site said around 3300. Give the SMC fans credit--they mostly seemed to stay the whole game, unlike fans of some Pac-10 schools up north I could mention...
And a great turnout by the students, who also stayed to rush the floor. Looks like the free hot wings were the difference.

Re: Pilot's beat St. Mary's
Okay, now I have something specific.
Why the big deal about Samhan?
He's strong, and has a jump shot, but his footwork is nothing spectacular and he's not that fast. Of course, it helped that he got in foul trouble tonight. Kind of a letdown, like seeing John Bryant in person at the SCU game.

Now I'm going to sit down and watch it all over again on ch. 37.
This time with my feet up, a Pliny in my hand, and a smile on my face.
If you don't catch it tonight, it'll be on again Sunday at 7:00 PM.

Guess I'll have to watch it the old fashioned way, since last I checked the CSN section of On Demand has plenty of Duck shows, but only one Pilot game (against...the Ducks).

He has such a nice touch, I don't know why he doesn't get more shots. I noticed he had an extended conversation with Coach Rev during the handshaking. Wonder what that was about?

Probably 'cause Omar was at some Pete newell camps, where Rev coached.
