I've been a season ticket holder since the Larry Steele years, so I've seen my share of ups and downs with Pilot basketball- more downs than ups, unfortunately. Regardless of wins and losses, the tickets have been a good value, concessions are not overpriced, parking is free and the building is pretty good. All in all, a good deal.

The talent we've seen is pretty impressive, too. Steve Nash, Todd McCullough, Dan Dickau, Bret Barry, Luke Jackson, Luke Ridenour, Terrell Brandon, Shane Battier, Mike Dunleavy, Carlos Boozer, Adam Morrison, Rodney Stuckey, Rony Turiaf and more I'm sure I've forgotten.

That luminous kind of talent is the one thing the Pilots seem to have lacked over the years, maybe with the exception of Pooh Jeter. But with the way Coach Reveno seems to gets kids to play hard, he can probably win more than he loses with average talent. An NBA-caliber recruit or two every few years wouldn't hurt, though! We've waited long enough!

Sorry- long for a first post, but I'm glad to see this forum available- good job!

I think your sentiments are quite common among the Pilots... but I think in the past few seasons, the alumni have finally started to become restless and expect more. Thank Coach Holton for raising the excitement level & expectations.

Coach Rev has certainly taken recruiting up another notch; give him a couple years, and I think Portland basketball will finally succeed on a must more frequent basis.

Glad to have you on board!

IMO, the comments from Stonehouse 'hit the nail on the head'.

I do think that a lot of the new players definitely do know how to play the game. Whether they have the skill to make it happen at the D1 level is another question, but I think the basketball IQ of the team will be pretty high.
