Look out! Empty Look out!

Things are getting interesting in the conference. Santa Clara took down SMC tonight, and after beating USD in OT last Thursday is now 5-4. USD is also 5-4, while SMC drops to 6-3, with GU up next. We need to take care of business against USF (1 win) on Thursday. That could give us a two game lead for second place going into Saturdays rematch with SMC. With five teams currently having winning conference records it looks like the battle for 2nd, 3rd and 4th place is going to be tough, with one of the teams relegated to the first round in the tournament.

It will be interesting to see how SMC plays against GU Thursday. Some of their fans are not happy with the team and coach (at least some posters on their forum Surprised ). Will they come back strong against GU and still have something left for us, or will they fold up completely? I can't predict. scratch

RIDICULOUS.... Haha comparing our play from last year to this year, with the only major addition being a solid PG it shows how much a difference a player at that position actually makes... Adjusting mid season is tough... Especially seeing that their 3 conference losses have come against teams (GU,UP and SCU) that, thus far, have been the class of the conference. Those are definitely not the 3 teams I would want to face first right after losing a PG of Mills' calibur
