Simply amazing video

Found on Oregonian film critic Shawn Levy's blog: "Not much happens in this film until the 2:00 mark, then it becomes the most amazing thing you ever saw."

Captain "Sully" is a true hero... to be able to land that plane and control the situation the way he did... amazing. What a great story; too often these end in disaster.

Little known fact from my relative who designed the airplane for Boening. Hate to be a downer, but it wasn't like he totally "glided" the plane into the drink without instruments or plane controls. He still had backup power from the generator in the rear. But, I still don't think it was a scheduled landing and I would not have wanted to be on the flight. Embarassed

look how tough it is to fly a plane in the water when it is designed that way.
