Great article... I like the comments regarding the contract extension, focus on the academics, Beauchamp's continued commitment, and Reveno not sounding like he will just hop into the next best job available...

That is a great article. Rev was a great hire. It's really great how well he interacts with the other coaches at the university, and stresses the idea of the student athlete. All of his words really show that he thinks of his job as a long term project, and he's really trying to build a program.

I can't help wondering if Hegarty is anxious to play. I hope that they are at least allowing him to build some chemistry with the starters and the better players on the team in practice so that he can contribute next year. A guy with his size will be a huge help once he's able to learn the system and work his way into the rotation.

One of the Pilot post men said this summer when asked if TJ Campbell was a good player said "yes". When asked a few months later if Hegarty was a good player he said "yes". I'm not saying as a freshman he will make any kind of impact that TJ has this year as a junior. But, whether he plays this year or next he will be a asset to the Pilot Men's BB program for many years to come. Especially when he adjust's to the D-1 college game in the WCC.

Off my tangent....GREAT ARTICLE!!!
