Pilots beat sac state

The pilots defeated Sac state 62-59 to rise to 3-4. They showed some grit in a close game.

There were good games from a couple players, as Laiken scored 22 and Carly Koebel got 12 points and 12 rebounds. She also made some good decisions on passes and defense. This may have been her best game.

Lauren Angel, coming back from a mild concussion, played some, and Tara Cronin and Rezina Teclemarian also had a couple of key three's.

The defense looked good most of the time, but the team needs to take care of the ball better. 19 TO's is too much.

It's still early in the season, so let's hope that improves.

Team looked pretty good. Wonder if Carly is playing inspired...

They're playing better than I've seen previously - like the men, they're not giving up when they give up a lead. They had a few too many turnovers, like geez said.

Fabulous game by Carly. I've been impressed with her this season.

And a nice job today by the three students who showed up today and got the little kid cheering with them.

It was quite a contrast to the PSU game. Carly really had her short range jumper going. I wish someone had taught her the hook shot in HS. She has a good touch and with her height she'd be tough to stop.
