Not Even Sure What to Say About This

Post by Stonehouse on Wed Nov 26, 2008 11:04 am

And I thought I had no life, what with my 1500+ posts on Pilot Nation. Check this out:

http://acetachyon.blogspot.com/2008/11/fear-me-part-one-creative-fandom.html

Someone (maybe a bit of an obsessive fan?) wrote a musical about Shannon Macmillan. Click through all the acts at your own risk:

Ha ha... don't mean to tease this guy, but really... wow. I love all my Pilots, but I don't think "Pooh Jeter: The Musical" is coming any time soon. Smile

Pooh Jeter: The Musical might be a flop... but Pooh Jeter: The Rock Opera would be the stuff of legend!!! We could get someone to play the part of Dr. C and actually play JC Superstar!!

Hahaha

I swear I had nothing to do with it, despite what he says--

In the weeks that I'd been posting on Shannon's message board I had written six songs in honor of Shannon. Tributes, really. Nothing wholly original. These were merely familiar and popular songs with new lyrics--think "Weird Al" and you get the idea.

While rummaging through my brain for a new tribute, I noticed that several posters on the Board were trading song lyrics.

I started to think, "Geez, it sounds like a musical--"

Oooh.

A musical. A musical about the Message Board.

That was it. My next tribute could be a musical about all of us and how Shannon brought us together--

Shannon.

A musical about Shannon.

Stoney,

You missed some great opportunities when you ghost-wrote it.

For instance, I notice a couple of the numbers were to JC, Superstar tunes---

And you missed "I don't know why he cut me"

Oh man... I think Ana might deserve her own musical.

And wait a second... is there a song on there called "I Don't Know Why He Cut Me" to the tune of "I Don't Know How to Love Him?"

Because... wow. I love me some JC Superstar (well, really, what I love is the early 70s film version of it).

I nominate Darren Cooper to play the part of Pooh Jeter in any Pilot rock opera...
