Here is what happens when someone rides the party bus too much.
Poor calculation on where to stand for a throw-in.

Not sure why people think those things are funny. That could very easily be a serious concussion. That kid throwing the ball should have been given atleast a yellow and his coach should bench him for the remainder of the game. That type of throw in serves absolutely no purpose other than to showboat.

Re: Spotted on Campus
Doesn't it get a whole lot more distance for getting the ball in the goalmouth?

Re: Spotted on Campus
When I played,I encountered a few people who threw like that. It always went pretty dang far. "If ye stand in front of ball being kicked or thrown, be prepared to get thumped".
Sci Fi- I'm not sure of who would think it was funny; simply an educational tool on where not to stand when encountering a flip thrower.

ME! http://www.pilotnation.net/general-discussion-f3/ha-t1539.htm and this guy REALLY gets thumped... it is his fault, he should back up... it is not like he does not know he is going to throw it like that... just like when the guy stands right in front of somebody trying to take their free kick...

Re: Spotted on Campus
Standing in front of the thrower serves no purpose. If you touch it, most likely it will go back out of bounds. If not, you are out of position. If you jump and block the throw with anypart of your body it is a free kick and possibly a yellow card. you might as well move away from the ball and mark a player.

Re: Spotted on Campus
I agree with all of you. I doubt very much that the Thrower hit the guy on purpose, and there is definitely a purpose in that type of throw - more distance. It's not showboating, or at least not COMPLETELY showboating. The hittee should not have been there.
