From UP's site:
http://www.portlandpilots.com/custompages/Videos/11162008mensbbpromo.mov
Most of the clips are near the end of the game. The first one of Raivio and the lay-up sealed the win. The three from Niedermeyer put us up by four, and the three-point play by Smeulders put us up by one.
I love that the double-technical play is on there. Honestly, how in the world did Smeulders get a T for that? Totally ridiculous.

Ha ha... just noticed... after Smeulders hit the shot and was fouled, you can see a certain PilotNation member giving a high five!

Great highlights... and this footage, more so than the tv broadcast, really shows that Smeulder's didnt deserve the technical...
Who is that high-fiving guy, anyway?!

Re: UW highlights
Thanks Stonehouse, what's interesting is the amount of fan's who rushed the court at the end of the game. It was about the size of the student to teacher ratio at UW,lol.Well it's a start and it was so cute to see those future UP students running across the court to join in too.Could they be a Stonehouse in about 20 years?

Re: UW highlights
Oh man... that dude wearing the Purple Haze shirt was legendary.
After the game, he rushed the court and was aimlessly running around... kind of looked like Jim Valvanno after NC State topped the Phi Slamma Jamma.
Anyway, he then veered toward the Huskies players, and I seriously thought he was going to go confront them and get his a$$ kicked. But he didn't... he went over to the coaching staff and talked to them, then was hugging the players and talking to them... I particularly remember Sikma being very bemused by the guy.
Something tells me he may have enjoyed himself at the T-toom before that game. It was great to see the old Purple Haze shirt though!

Re: UW highlights
Just watched it... OK yeah how did the double T happen at all?? Did Robin scream something in Dutch at him and they thought it was an ethnic slur?? Brockman's push was more than a little blatant. haha and you gotta love the P-Safe officer pacing toward the student section after the shove, I mean clearly the ushers had the situation under control
I was totally thinking the Jimmy V run around aimless mode when i watched Purple Haze... Is it wrong that part of me wishes he HAD gotten the business end of one of those husky player's fists??

Re: UW highlights
Ole' Purple Haze was a classic Valvano imitation. He was lucky Brockman has lost a few close games before because he was getting pretty close to the business end of Brockmans elbow when Brockman was walking off the court. I was hoping those little kids were going to "tackle" him ,lol.

Don't have QuickTime here at work. But, from my vantage point, it looked a little like Robin tried to kick him.

Re: UW highlights
No, not after watching the video. He just got up and Brockman shoved him.
Speaking of Pilot Nation members, there's one standing calmly at the top of 18a because he knows the Pilots' will to win is going to carry them to victory.
Behind the basket there's another frantically waving his arms like he's directing an airplane.
