Which seeds will lose the first weekend?

Now that we know the bracket, it seems like it's about time to speculate on outcomes.

I'll start the fun: I predict that the following seeded teams will not make it through the first and second rounds.

Colorado (Minnesota wins at home)
Stanford (UCSB pulls giant surprise in first round)
Texas A&M (Washington wins in second round)

Agree? Disagree?

Agreed all 3 could play out.

UCSB has some quality results on their Resume.
Washington should have had a seed,
Colorado loses top player to U-20s and didn't have a lot of depth.

Smart money is betting against the Big 12 teams. Colorado, Texas A&M, Missouri, Oklahoma State... at least one and maybe even several of those teams is going to lose.

Have to wish for Stanford to come a cropper. That would be best result for Pilots.

Stanford is very, very good this year. I think they'll go through this weekend. I don't think USC or Duke is safe. And BC could easily drop to Northeastern or Harvard. They tied Harvard earlier in the year and only a few of their wins are "convincing." They earned their ranking/seeding playing in the ACC and squeaking out some wins there, but Harvard (if they both go through), will give them a very touch match to get to the 3rd round.

True champions beat the best teams. Stanford is a lot like UP - plays with skill and has a fluid attack. It's wishful thinking that Stanford will be knocked out early. If the seeding plays out and UP faces Stanford in the quarterfinals, UP will get perhaps it's toughest test.

Its tournament time. That spells defense. Who has the best? That is who will win.
