Into second overtime. Judging by the report Verloo is a major impact player. Match report referred to her passing to her sister. Anybody know about the sister?

Auto, the MatchTracker was referring to the Mewis sisters from Hanson, Mass. They are about a year and a half apart--Kristen is listed as a defender, and Samantha as a forward.

Verloo played Kristen Mewis into the endline; Kristen crossed to her sister, Samantha, who missed her opportunity.

The US goal was scored by Cloee Collohan on a throw-in in the second minute that bounced High in the box and was tipped by the keeper before it went in.
the US had chances but didn't finish, and the Koreans applied pressure to equalize late and then won in the second overtime.

My favorite description:

There were late scares for either team, but we came to the end of 90 minutes locked at 1-1, thanks in no small part to Cloee Clouhan {sic} who was superb in the centre of defence for the USA.

sounds like we are getting a heck of a defender.

congrats to the u17's. A silver is something to be proud of.

Winning is not everything, in fact it is just something, but the ambition, the want to do as well as you can is important, and that has to be based on an idea of what real success is. Young fans, young players who turn out for their schools, can take that sort of thing into their everyday lives. Why should anyone be satisfied by second best? Again, there is nothing wrong with coming in second, but that shouldn’t stop you from trying to be first or even a better second.
