Can Pilot Nation Break Its Record?
Believe it or not, this month of August is close to having the most posts for any month in the history of Pilot Nation. Currently, November 2007 is the high-water mark with 1082 posts... not surprising, considering that was the women's soccer playoff time and basketball was just getting started up.
But right now, we are at 830 (the second highest total ever), only 252 short of the mark. That's a tall order, especially with only six days left and Labor Day coming up, but with the huge games this weekend maybe we can get it done.
The challenge is on, Pilot Nation!
Post Script: Now I realize this is small potatoes compared to another WCC board that will remain unmentioned, but if this kind of activity keeps up we're definitely the #2 most active WCC board. Dons Central has more daily viewers, I think, but since it's a slow time for basketball there aren't a ton of posts. Heck, right now we are even close to outstripping the Zag board in terms of new posts, which is hard to believe. (Yeah, it's just because it's such a slow basketball time, but still... not too shabby!) Keep it up, everyone!

Re: Can Pilot Nation Break Its Record?
It should be noted that our little forum here has been around for a MUCH shorter period of time than those others, too... so we are doing well! And the average quality of our posts is pretty impressive.... not too much fluff (beer-related threads are not fluffy!)
Keep up the hard work!! Oh, and everyone's homework assignment is to bring a new member on board... spread the word...
And to all the lurkers out there: Sign up as a member! Share your thoughts!

Say, what's wrong with Soccer Buzz? They didn't put out pre-season rankings this year.

I was noticing the same thing about soccerbuzz... that was my main source for rankings and updates on out of region happenings previously.

UPreveler - welcome my friend!
Did you see the Oregon game? Either way your comments are appreciated. Also, what do you think of the upcoming week-end with UCLA and USC coming to town?

Only 23 more posts... Although I suppose this qualifies as padding the numbers...
So in order to rectify it, I will say that having sampled the micro brew selection from the Seattle area I must say the PDX has the flavor on lock down... SO much better than the crap up here... Must be that delicious Superfund flavor from the Willamette

Re: Can Pilot Nation Break Its Record?
Somehow I think that this is the month for Pilot Nation to make a leap to the next level. seems like we have a new poster every few days... Although I find myself getting so detached from the threads because I don't check it often enough. Guess I will have to do my part to make the leap.
