Matty Dallman Update

Post by footyfan on Fri Aug 15, 2008 11:30 pm

Matty signed a Bundesliga contract with Arminia Bielefeld in July.
Last week he saw 45 minutes PT and was involved in the build up of the game winning goal in the final game of preseason win over Turkish EUFA cup side Trabzonsspor for the 1st team.
Today Matty netted a goal in the reserves 1-1 tie in the regular season opening game.
He said he'll be getting 1st team regular season action.

News on Luis is that he is due to return to action this week..I don't know if that means returning to training or that he is now game fit. (Knee injury)

Heath hasn't been training with Rostock..I'm not sure whats going on there..I've heard there are one or two teams interested in a transfer.

Thanks for the updates footy. It's nice to hear how the lads are doing.
I can fill in the blanks a little. This was in Soccer 365:

S365 Exclusive: Pearce Nearing Hansa Exit
2008-08-14 22:51:13

Hansa Rostock wingback Heath Pearce is being pursued heavily by a team each from the Bundesliga and the Eredivisie, Soccer365 has learned.

by Greg Seltzer for Soccer365

According to his agent, the American Abroad could soon be leaving the relegated Ostseestädter for greener pastures.

"There's a Dutch team that's interested, and a German team," Lyle Yorks told Soccer365. "We're hoping to have this play itself out over the next five days. These are two great options."

Though neither bidder's name was revealed, Pearce has had plenty of documented interest from the Netherlands in the past and has more than once publicly expressed a desire to play in the Eredivisie.

The lead contender would appear to be FC Utrecht, who also made a run at the U.S. international before he joined Hansa. Ajax and FC Twente have made prior contact, but appear to be set at Pearce's favored position, as well as on the left side of midfield.

The California native worked in 19 Bundesliga contests last season for Hansa, who start the new second flight season Monday at Duisburg.
