Phelps Goes For Two More Tonight

Post by Stonehouse on Tue Aug 12, 2008 4:42 pm

Hey everyone... since it's kind of hard to know when stuff is happening live, we are in luck tonight. We can see Phelps go for two more golds live in primetime tonight (Pacific Time):

7:21 pm - 200m Butterfly Final
8:19 pm - 4x200 Freestyle Relay

Amazing to think that after tonight he could already have 5 gold medals.

Where can we see these live? On the Olympic website? Pay-per-view?

Rochin,

How do you tune in CBUT? I'd love to not have to stay up til midnight.

Skip Bayless just convinced me--He said Michael Phelps is not the greatest ever Olympian because he's not in the 100 freestyle and therefore is not the fastest swimmer in the world Rolling Eyes

Which of course means he is the greatest, since Skip's answer is usually the opposite of the correct answer.

Skip Bayless makes me want to take sporks to both ears and one eye... (I gotta keep at least one eye to watch Pilot soccer.) The guy is 1,000X worse than Canzano.

Is CBUT a Comcast digital or Satellite TV channel? scratch

I get Comcast Basic, which has a lot of good sports channels. But I always turn just a slight shade of green when I hear someone say something is on ESPNU, Fox Soccer or now, CBUT.

I know Fox Soccer is digital. What about CBUT and ESPNU?

I guess I forgot I have Click, which is a local cable company run by the city of Tacoma.... They made their own cable company cuz back in the day Viacom/Comcast/whatever it was called was terrible, so it forced Comcast to roll out a huge package up here... And i looked down in PDX, I don't think Comcast offers CBUT (fascists).... I suppose I could DVR everything (Including all the pilot games on ESPNU and FSC) and have a Pilot viewing party, but alas, right now I'm king of being an braggart.... sorry about that...

FANatic, you can watch the Olympics live east of the Mississippi (or from about Kansas-east). But then you still have to stay up late to watch it. In fact, I think Phelps was on at like 9:30 here and I had already fallen asleep. Wow, that is kind of depressing, b/c I was actually up kind of late last night.

DaTruRochin - No problem, man. Thanks for all the info...

mattywizz - Thanks for the response. Don't think I'll be east of the Mississippi during this lifetime again! However, in my next life, who can say?
