We are lucky; so far I have only had to delete a couple posts (i could count them on one hand... and have a few fingers left over) and havent banned anyone.... yet, anyway....
Most agreed on the "We are lucky" part. I've only had to delete one or two posts myself. I will say this: If any of you see something you think is objectionable, don't hesitate to let one of us Admins know. We'd be glad to deal with it!

It is the lower Deschutes, where access is pretty much limited to boat, bike or foot. It is a terrible place; too many bugs, too much wind, too many snakes. I am sure people would not enjoy going there.

Re: Nice Article about UP Marketing
Another smart move by the Marketing department, not sure if anyone else bit but my wife sure did on the gameday fan shirt. Good concept, the wording on the shirt says "We declare this Pilot Country" with the Villa Drumsquad flag in white on a purple t-shirt. I hope that this effort works... how intimidating would 5,000 Purple shirts on crazy people be for the Cal schools?

Except they are shooting for a White Out at the UCLA game and those shirts are purple.

Re: Nice Article about UP Marketing
They will be giving away white shirts for the "first [certain number] people through the gates" for the UCLA white out... not sure how many they will give out, but I think it will be a significant number.
They are offering the Gameday shirt with the basketball season tickets, too. I am glad to see it. anything to finally get some decent UP apparel out there...

Man... I am seriously upset that my buddy is getting married that day... the odds of me making it back in time for the game is virtually nil.

It's the first 1000 fans who get a free Tee shirt from Comcast at the UCLA game.

This is over my head - (being 4'10", alot of things are over my head!).
What exactly is a "White Out" - and how does it supposedly intimidate the opponent?

Re: Nice Article about UP Marketing
A "white out" (or "black out", etc) is where all of the fans wear the same color... it has a very nice effect for the TV cameras; a sea of the same color. It also tends to fire up the crowd and make them even more boisterous (a.k.a. louder!). Comcast probably donated the shirts as part of the deal to televise the game. I havent seen the shirts, but heard that they are plain white, and have the Comcast logo on the back and some sort of Pilots logo on the front.
I remember Penn St. having a "White Out" at a football game (was it last season?) that was amazing... just a huge sea of white at every camera angle...
