There are a couple games on TV this fall you all may be interested in.

UP's game against San Diego will be telecast on November 6 at 11:00 PM Eastern on FSC
That's an away game, so we get one more chance to see them.

Also of note will be a UCLA-Santa Clara game on Sept 25. Same time , same channel.

More games at:

I followed a link that was supposed to give this year's schedule, and instead got the 2007 schedule.

As Emily Littella said---"never mind" geek

I'll post the 2008 schedule when I see it.

No worries, Geezer! Smile

It'll be interesting to see how many games Comcast picks up. I remember an interview with Larry Williams on Sports Business Radio that said the ratings were quite good for the women's soccer games... maybe as a result Comcast will pick up a few more regular season games?

I'm thinking the games against UCLA, USC, Florida and Santa Clara all seem like pretty strong candidates, and maybe even Washington and LMU.

And maybe they could pick up the feed for the game at San Diego too... I think USD has a pretty good relationship with a local channel down there that shows lots of their sports.

But it will be interesting to see what goes on FSC and what goes on Comcast... I remember last year there was some grumbling because FSC made UP change some dates for games and start times and stuff like that. So I wonder, if push comes to shove, if UP would rather broadcast, say, the UCLA-UP on Comcast or FSC. The knee jerk reaction says FSC due to national exposure, but there is something to be said for building up the relationship with Comcast too. Will be interesting to see how that develops.

yeah, I'm not sure what's going on. At the top it says 2008, elsewhere it says 2007. Some of those games look right for those dates, and if you look at other colleges, they seem right. Santa Clara-UCLA is listed on the team websites as being the 25th and on TV.

A couple others, including Portland, seem wrong. Perhaps the date and location have been changed for TV.

I don't know.

That schedule looks right to me for this year. The dates of the other games are not the dates the teams played last year. Also, we played San Diego on October 25 last year, which as I recall was a re-schedule by a day or two in order to meet FSN's desires. Our schedule for this year says we play San Diego on November 8, so I'm guessing it's being re-scheduled to November 6, again for FSN's purposes.

I could have sworn I read that the Rutgers game would be on TV. Even so, I expect to do some game mobile microblogging from both Rutgers and Penn State this fall.

Thanks for doing the leg work on that UPSF... I was too lazy!

I'm sure the dates did indeed get switched around for FSC. As you said, that happened last year too.

So does that mean all the other games will be on CSN? Probably, which actually I am happy about... I would love to see UP's relationship continue to build with them to the point where they are UP games become a bedrock of their programming. We are in a unique position with them since they just started up, so we can kind of entrench ourselves into their coverage.

I loved last season being able to go back and watch the Playoff again on delay on CSN. especially that Tennessee game, my god their keeper was unbelievable and we still took it to them pretty good.

That's the one! Now if we could only find a video of "the goal" VS USD. Probably the single greatest piece of individual skill I have ever seen.

Ah - memory lane.

I really think we need to come up with a video of "the goal" for the front page of the forum. Not only was it a great goal, but it changed SD's attitude from one of thinking they could compete to one of resignation. Complete turnaround.

As to the TV schedule, it looks like that is the FSN schedule for 2008. some of the dates are a little different, but I suspect that schools will change the dates to fit the TV schedule. So we're on National TV again!
