Rochin54, how's your bookstore team doing?
It's been tough to schedule....we're a lot better than our reputation. No one will give us a home and home arrangement. Something about not wanting to play on asphalt.

Rev says Nicholas = Mark Madsen. I'll take that!

11/12/09 Recap:
--Nem will be in the rotation this year.
--Team & coaches need to balance between acknowledging/appreciating the recent success & compliments with focusing on what needs to be done to keep getting better.
--Nicholas is a workhorse; a slightly undersized post player. Rev compared him to Madsen and Hansbrough.
--Rev is still looking to sign additional players, and is still recruiting for this class... The recent success has allowed for some prospects to listen to Rev now that we did not have access to previously.

Re: Reveno to be WEEKLY Guest on 95.5, Thursdays @ 1:30!
Can you imagine Madsen,Kramer and Luke with Bailey,Jasonn , and the other freshman Post's as Backups. I'm drooling already, I think they could get some chippees, and short rebounds off of Stohl and Nem misses. Only having Waterford concerns me, but I have faith Rev will find another "diamond in the rough" like TJ. Maybe there is another one in the large basketball oriented JUCO system in AZ like TJ came out from. Not that this applys to TJ, but the JUCO's down here attract players from throughout the Nation who need a little "seasoning" either in academics or otherwise. Besides would you want to go to a JUCO in Kansas in the middle of winter or 70 degrees
in AZ.

.compared him to . . . Hansbrough
Yow. If he can have that kind of success we'll be a very happy PN.

Another Hansbrough? You mean we will get Dicky V fawning over a Pilot every night, whether or not he's calling a UP game?
Approve.

Here's the link:

It's about 3/5's of the way in (sorry I don't have an exact time). It's a good interview... enjoy!

Nice little segment with Coach Rev on Sports Sunday tonight. Nothing news-breaking for PN fans. Spent half the time talking about Stanford football (Rev says he doesn't follow it closely). But an interesting comment about coaching decisions that appear unusual (arrogant, etc.) from the outside may be what a team needs to get better.
Overall good pub for our team.

I'm interested in hearing what he says today. From his tweets about practice and video it seems like he was entirely thrilled with Tuesday's game. Look forward to what he says about Saturday also.

I only caught the tail end, but wow, I already knowhe is a great interview going into these but Rev still leaves me impressed every time. We are lucky to have such hard working, honest and straightforward coach.

Re: Reveno to be WEEKLY Guest on 95.5, Thursdays @ 1:30!
Oh man, can't wait til they post the MP3 of this one... they added some production value to his into, and it featured... wait for it... the fight song!!! It was incredible.
Not much ground-breaking in this interview, but man oh man... major props to Kenny Vance for so vociferously encouraging people to come check out the team. I think the majority of the Wheels at Work audience are Blazer (so, hence, basketball) fans, and shoot... if even 1% of their listeners decide to come out to The Bluff some time, that would be awesome.
I knew this was a great gig for the program, but am really only now fully grasping how huge this is. Not only is Rev a good, insightful, and straightforward interview, but the hosts are genuinely supportive and encouraging of the program. This is the single-best way we have right now to reach out to the Portland sports community. I love it.
