Hungarian seven fter.

Post by upsailor on Sat Sep 15, 2007 3:09 pm

Apparently the Hungarian seven footer from Calif. was on campus yesterday and probably for the weekend . Hopefully that is a positive sign that he has definite interest in the Pilots. Only time will tell as the signing period is sometime in early Nov. as I understand it.

I needed a new heel for my shoe so I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on them. Give me five bees for a quarter you'd say. Now where were we, oh ya. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because if the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...."

Co-Pilot... how did he look overall? Was it a scrimmage against the team?

Any recap you could give would be much appreciated! Smile

I live in the Bay Area and I have seen him play quite a bit. I actually got to see him go up against Drew Gordon of Mitty High school who has signed with UCLA.

He is very long, can block shots and rebounds very well. His offensive game is not strong at this point. He will struggle offensively at the collegiate level but his upside is huge. I think he blocked Gordoon's shot like 4 or 5 times duringthe time they went head to head.

As I said in a prior post, I like the Conrad kid a lot more (his game is more well rounded) but I'm not the coach.

according to Oregonpreps.com Jason Conrad verbaled to Portland State. It sucks to lose out on this one, hopefully we get the Hungarian kid. Time will tell on this one as we play PSU year in and year out.

It is not clear to me that we ever offered Jason Conrad. If not, we did not lose out on him. I am not sure why we would not, but perhaps it has something to do with having the limited number of scholarships to offer, apparently pending academice casulties . . .hmmn?

As this article suggests, we did offer Will Bogan, a point from Idaho:

Here is a more comprehensive list of Pilot recruiting list along with, apparently, every other WCC team. A mamouth list of recruits:
