And.....correct me if I'm wrong the other game is on Comcast NW which can be seen nationally if one's not to cheap, cheap to get Direct TV......the only three losses I believe is 3 games ol u know who only has acess to this year Laughing.Ok you can count WV as a loss too, but they could spank GU 9 times out of 10 their so much of a better team with better coach like Huggy bear. . I sure don't want to go back to old Pilot days ala holton and others......where there are maybe 0-1 games a year on TV because of the quality of product he put on the court.

Oh well, my point is I don't find it necessary to whinn like my daughter used to when she was like 2-3 yrs old about losing on TV.Eaah gaads, you guys would be great to have in the same foxhole. Why doesn't the team just suspend the rest of the season because they lost on frickin TV. Toughen up boys, it's only gonna get tougher before it get's easier.I thought RJ brought up a good point that we still get a nuetral site shot at the Bulldogs at the WCC, the Pilots control their their own destiny.

I have a strong suspecion the next game may be like the first (down to the wire). Our best player will be back...they willl be all fat and sassy and VUNERABLE, plus the major part of the inexperienced minutes they have to carry will never been in that setting. So hold your heads up you bunch of girlies. I don't see any of you quitting after a pilot womens soccer game loss.

If we have Nik back for the "next time we meet" it will be much closer, if not in our favor. Very Happy His ability to create his own shot and rebound are missed. Against the bottom half of the WCC we have been able to make up for it, but against the Zags we need him. According to what they stated on TV, it sounded like he was not healing that fast/not responding to treatment. It is an unusual injury. There is still plenty of time, so I am not too worried yet.

Ok, I take it back. It doesn't suck for me that the few times I've been able to watch the Pilots on TV they have lost (and the last time I saw a game live). I'll try to be a better fan from now on.

You can have Holton back all you want, it sounds like your both trying to make my enthusiasm for the current coaching staff-record-players-etc... at UP a negative thing.....Or maybe its just something personal you get against somebody that doesn't chime in with YOUR lets" fold the tents" attitude. We suck, lets find something negative things like a TV broadcast being a loss. You know now that I think about it......... Oh, but I hate red lights too, I am forced to stop at them, sigh Neutral

This season is not the pinnicle of Pilot basketball, its the start of a 3-5 yr stretch that will pay off with recruits (WHO WATCH FRIGGIN ESPN GAMES involving the PILOTS WHETHER THEY WIN OR LOSE) when the early recruiting Rev has been learning at Stanford and refining at UP is going to start paying off. I can't understand how a "true" Pilot fan could be p@#ed off when the Pilots are on TV. Sure when they lose I don't run outside and fire off bottlerockets and shout out at the top of my lungs. I'm as upset as the next guy. Thanks for the SUPER DEBBIE DOWNER guys maybe Rev will let you give the team a pep talk before the first game in the WCC Tourney. Maybe one of the Lurkers or less frequent posters will be impressed with your sarcasm but I'm sure NOt. cherry

Anyone think a few recruits watched the Pilots blow out UCLA and gut out a win against Minnesota? How about when the Pilots dominated USF on ESPNU?

I remember when we got on TV once a season, and I'm not even counting our appearances on Paul Allen's ASCN experiment that was available in the Rose Garden and a couple dozen homes.

If a recruit sees Gonzaga working us over in the Kennel where hardly anyone wins and thinks that's all there is to Pilot basketball, then I don't think he's bright enough to even get into Portland. The smart ones who would make good students and players will see that Portland and the WCC must play some pretty good ball to be on ESPN so often.

I mind losing (some losses I mind more than others). I don't mind losses being on TV.

Mesa, wasn't attacking you. I share your enthusiasm for staff, program, all. I was just reflecting that the bitter disappointment of getting blown out wasn't made better by being called a whiny little girl.

Now let's see them get six more wins to finish this conference season. Basketball

All you guys need to chill a bit on this. here is only one match against Gonzaga that has mattered from the start of the year. That's the one that will be in Las Vegas.

It would have been nice candy to knock them out during the season, but that didn't happen. Now the team has to take the harder road. they ned to win on the road next week, then they need to defend home court, win out the final week, and earn the chance at another shot at the Bulldogs.

From the start, the only way UP was getting to the tournament was through the Zags. they can still do it. Hopefully, they'll have Nik to help them at the end.

With that and a ref crew that doesn't include Mr. Bean, they have a shot.

Go Pilots.

I needed a new heel for my shoe so I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on them. Give me five bees for a quarter you'd say. Now where were we, oh ya. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because if the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...."

Apologies to the level-headed one geez and others. I never ever question any of "our" loyalties to the team here at PN. I've just taken many bumps on the head in my life, and sometimes when I word things on message boards they come out a tad harsh or heavy. Oh well, I guess thats the beauty of difference's in people and why were all different....and entitiled to our own opinion.(I KNOW SOME OF MY opinions WOULD HAVE ME BANNED ON OUR FAV BOARD, where no dissension could ever be heard).

Most of the time I wonder if I'm argueing both sides of the argument...complaining about stretchnet.....defending TV Broadcasts but thats allright. Lets just hope the Pilots spank the next team because their somewhat cranky and p/oed about the bulldog game too.

Just think PilotNut didn't even have to step in and call Timeout this time Laughing

Since they lost pretty much everytime we saw them play while we were students, you should have learned to enjoy watching them lose. In all seriousness, I understand what you are saying...it is tough that pretty much everytime we see them play they lose. It doesn't make us less of fans to be disappointed by losses. Who wouldn't rather see their team win?

Well, either that or they have a 20+ win season, build a resume of 3-4 wins over top 25 quality teams, and make it to the conference tourney final. Overall, I'm really happy with the season, however, 1-2 more wins against teams that we aren't supposed to beat would be nice for the resume. I think that it's healthy for fans to have high expectations and want their team to be competitive and in a game instead of getting blown out.

As for some of the other comments posted, I don't think anyone is blaming Rev for anything at all. I just expected more from a senior-laden team in delivering on what was probably a pretty solid game plan by Rev. That's all. Peace.
