A Non-Zero Chance
THIS is an interesting analysis of the odds for winning the WCC regular season. From Ken Pomeroy.
And HERE he projects us to finish 20-9, with two more close losses. We'll see.

Re: A Non-Zero Chance
We aren't quite masters of our own destiny but I think that if we win out we would be a lock to at least TIE for first (with a 12-2 record).
It wouldn't be the easiest thing to do and we'd have to play VERY well to win @ GU and vs. SMC. I think we can do it though. Thursday night could be huge! And yes, I think we can win without Nik. I just think it will be harder.

Jasonn Hannibal is a "significant contributor?"
Interesting way to look at it.

I wondered about the comment on T.J., "at least he's starting now." When wasn't he starting???

I think the site is VERY confused about Pilot Basketball. It makes you think they haven't watched a game yet.
It's up to the team to make them actually learn about these guys. Nobody doesn't know about the Kansas or Duke players.

I needed a new heel for my shoe so I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on them. Give me five bees for a quarter you'd say. Now where were we, oh ya. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because if the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...."

Re: A Non-Zero Chance
The problem with Pomeroy is that he makes absolutely everything into mathematical analysis, and he predicts no upsets because of this. All wins and losses are just based on past performances. BOOORING.

What I know about Kansas: Cole Aldrich is a big white guy. He's pretty good. Sherron Collins got his picture in the paper today so he must be good.
Duke: Kyle Singler went to South Medford. He must be good at basketball if Duke recruited him. Their coach has a funny name.
Outside the WCC I don't know much and I really don't care much either.

I know that the Pac-10 is awful and that this team is too afraid to play us.
