Pilots sweep the ducks

Nice to say that. They beat UO 12-8 today to win all three games this year.

I needed a new heel for my shoe so I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on them. Give me five bees for a quarter you'd say. Now where were we, oh ya. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because if the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...."

Almost takes the sting out of being swept by Santa Clara at home. Maybe the Ducks should join the WCC?

I liked how the story in the paper today talked about how the Pilots feel good about being the second best D1 baseball team in the state. Nice to see a writer who knows there are schools besides Oregon and OSU.

I took that as a bit of a finger in the eye of the writer, actually. They have been writing huge game recaps for nearly every Oregon baseball game, while Portland is lucky to get more than a very small blurb. In my mind's eye, I picture the UP players snarkily giving those quotes to a somewhat red-faced writer.

Is there any good way to follow this team from out of state?

I know every Pilots home game has both an audio webcast and livestats. Most away games do as well, but you have to go hunting on the other school's website.

Speaking of baseball, it's always good to get wins over the Zags - especially when they're ranked!

Thankyou. Unfortunately, there's nothing like seeing baseball with a hot dog in your hand though. I think I should just plan a road trip. Cool
